Clock Tower Chiang Rai

The artist who designed the White Temple believed that Chiang Rai, his hometown, did not have any significant forms of architecture – so he constructed this clock tower and put it right in the middle of town.  As you can see from the photos, the clock tower is similar to the White Temple, just golden instead of white.  We loved the beauty of the clock tower, and enjoyed looking at it as we had some Thai iced tea at a nearby coffeehouse.

The clock tower displays light and music shows every day at 7, 8, and 9 p.m., and we definitely recommend checking it out if you visit Chiang Rai.
